It’s hard to stay in shape…
I just got back from the gym. I try to go every single day…two to three miles on the elliptical and then some weights for my arms and legs, and sit-ups for my tummy.
Whatever I do, I just try to break a sweat. I want to do enough to burn some of those extra weekend calories, and I think sweating is good for my complexion. I started thinking that way when I did Bikram Yoga in Ft. Worth 3 to 4 times a week. Believe me, you sweat a lot when you work out in 106 degrees for 90 minutes. I swear I’m going to get back to Bikam because I felt the best ever, but right now I just try to get to the gym before day.
By the way, I love these Nike Capris I got during the summer sale at Luke’s Locker. I think Luke’s has a great selection of work out stuff. And a friend got me to try the green smoothie from Lyfe Kitchen. It has banana, cucumber, apple and lemon. That can’t be bad for you.
What’s your favorite way to keep in shape? Your favorite workout clothes? Or your favorite after workout refreshment?
Tell us about it in the comments below so we can all try it!
Have a great day,
Nice site Jane!!!!! Thanks for mentioning us! Hope you and your son are well. Get your ass back in the studio.
Lol I will!
I do Aqua Aerobics M-Thursday, then M-W-F-S I do a 30 minute Tabata class, its a class in the water where you work out as fast as you can during sets of 4 exercises as jumping, crunches, jumping jacks etc: it is equal to an hour aerobic class, I Love it…. Im a member of The Summit 50 Plus club in Grand Prairie Texas… Im a woman that tries them all ,swimsuit and workout clothes, but Nike is good ….I also drink a smoothie 🙂
I need to be doing what you are Sandy!
Working out at the YMCA five times a week. One hour (no less, ever) on either the treadmill (15 incline, 4.4 speed) or the elliptical (20 incline, 11 or 12 resistance) I do some minor lifting with 10lb dumb bells. A quick four laps in the pool, 10 minutes in hot tub and shower. Sort of my ‘spa’ time, I am 58 years old and will retire in 472 days. I cannot wait to work out in the morning instead of after five!
Wow, you/re in great shape!
