The picture of Singer LadyDiamond says it all…”Women That Soar”!
With LadyDiamond singing it was hard not to dance at the Seventh Annual Women That Soar Honorees Luncheon at the W Hotel in Dallas.
Legendary author Barbara Taylor Bradford was the Keynote Speaker and signed copies of her new novel Cavendon Hall.
Bradford was one of five women (referenced later in the post) who were honored for leadership, business, entrepreneurial and civic achievements.
I was struck by the fact that these are women who are accomplished in their work and their femininity too…many of them were absolutely striking!
Women That Soar Founder Gina Grant was a show stopper…
And wow, Dawn Neufeld, you looked fabulous!
I’m sharing these fun photos shot by Danny Campbell and hope to give you a little information on Women That Soar, so the next time you hear that phrase you’ll smile about these women who really do it all!
The mission of Women That Soar is to “unite a diverse groups of women…to empower and inspire women spsiritually, financially mentally and physically; to support them on their personal and professional journey”.
This year’s honorees were;
Barbara Taylor Bradford: Lifetime Achievement Award
Monica Martinez: Senior Vice President of Business Affairs, Comerica Bank Leadership Award
Nina Vaca: Founder, Pinnacle Business Award
Robin Norton Ahearn: Chief Marketing Officer, Ignite Restaurant Group Entrepreneur Award
Lisa Tatum: Founder, Tatum Law Practice Civic Award
Great summation of the event. so happy you were there.. and thanks for this nice write up..
Thank you for inviting me sweet Yvonne, such a great group of women to meet!
Thank you Jane for the nice recap. It was such a pleasure meeting you. Yes, Lady Diamond made us all want to dance!
Thank you for inviting me. It was great fun!
Thank you so much for coming out and supporting the work of Women That Soar’s CEO, the amazing Gina Grant! She ahs worked tirelessly to support the efforts of other women – like myself – in our own endeavors to make a difference in the world via philanthropy, conscious capitalism, social responsible investing, activism and more! I am deeply grateful that Dallas has someone like her who can so intelligently and passionately argue for women to get past the old “there is only room for one of us at the top” mentality and to instead recognize that by helping each other to succeed we uplift not only our community but ourselves as well!
P.S. – thank you also for the flattering compliments about WTS attendees, including myself. Yes – women don’t have to put aside our femininity just because we have achieved influence in our lives….we can celebrate it, indulge in it, and be strong and confident at the same time!
My pleasure!
