RON KIRK: “MY MONEY IS ON RICK PERRY”

No, not for President in 2016. But, Ambassador Kirk does think…

Governor Rick Perry has a good shot at being the Republican nominee.

I was interviewing Mayor Kirk for Good Morning Texas, and asked him to handicap 2016.

Kirk told me “I have told all my friends do not write off Rick Perry, he has governed the most successful economy…and he campaigns as effectively as anyone.”

Of course, Kirk qualified his comments about Governor Perry with Perry making it successfully through his current legal problems.

Ambassador Kirk predicts Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be elected the next President, but in his words “My money is on Rick Perry” for the Republican nomination.

    i would endorse Gov. Perry for president. He may have been the best governor since Big Sam (Sam Houston). My only reservation is if anyone from Texas is president and acts upon a decision as they should, there will be some who disagree with him. This is ok. Then they will criticize my state of Texas. Disagree with a person, do not run down their home state. Every one is different in each state. We are all Americans.

      He will certainly have a great state economy to campaign on if he does run!

    Given the quality of the announced or expected candidates in the Republican field, Ron might be right. The bar couldn’t be any lower than it already is and since Ranger Rick keeps wearing his IQ enhancing spectacles he has a shot.
