There’s a very special reason pumpkin time is my favorite time…

My son Michael was born in October…and ever since I’ve called him ‘pumpkin’, so for me it’s the happiest time of year.

But since I’m especially busy with Real Jane right now my fall decorating had to be pretty simple so I decided to run to Ruibal’s Plants of Texas at the Dallas Farmers Market and pick up everything I needed.

They had so much to choose from….some of the biggest pumpkins ever, golden yellow and crimson coleus, vivid pink and purple…a wonderful selection of pretty things for your house, inside and out. Mark Ruibal himself was there and gave me a great walking tour.

In the end I went for the pumpkins and violet mums and just stacked a lot of them at my front door.  It didn’t take a lot of time or money but I love the way it looks.  It makes me smile when I walk in the door.
