Good morning!
This is a wall in my Ft. Worth kitchen. The first picture was taken for a D Magazine piece on my home. I wanted show you more about how I filled a large space, and I think I made it pretty to look at, but didn’t spend a lot of money.
Nothing on this wall is expensive. The old Mexican mole bowls are for sale in lots of little shops. And I found the set of old Mexican plates, saucers and cups at a bargain price.
Your taste could be completely different from mine. Maybe you like blue and white china, or all-white is a beautiful. The key to filling a space like this is to find something you like, and collect lots of the same thing. It took me several years of hunting to put this together.
I just wanted to show you how I filled a big space in my kitchen while working on a budget.
Do you have a favorite look that you collect? Is it blue and white china? Or maybe seashells you put on a desktop? Tell me below in the comments, I’d like to know about it.
Have a great day,
Although this is not my style, I love this wall and how you filled up a large space inexpensively. I had my granite counter tops ripped out and put in soapstone and it changed the entire look of my kitchen. I love it. Soapstone is less expensive than granite also if you are remodeling.
I love soapstone. I’m thinking of trying it in a kitchen I’m contemplating 🙂
What a bright and happy kitchen!
Thanks Lindsay!!
I love the open cabinets with the bright colors! BTW… Your dress is so pretty! Any favorite places you like to clothes shop?
Thanks, that’s so nice of you Joy! And yes, I have some favorite clothes shopping spots. That’s a whole other post!
I love to collect hand-painted pictures from the various places I travel to and that way I not only have a nice collection of artwork but it reminds me of the places I love!
I think it’s whatever brings you real pleasure:)
