I have made these cranberries every Thanksgiving.
They have all the ingredients I like. They are yummy, healthy and easy to make!
I wish I could say they are really mine. I spotted this recipe years ago, and it’s not Jane McGarry’s…it’s Julia Child’s…which in my book makes them even better.
- 2 bags cranberries, washed and picked over
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- ½ cup orange juice
- grated rind of 1 and ½ oranges
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- Wash and pick over cranberries and place in large sauce pan with other ingredients. Cook until cranberries burst. Cool and serve. Can be made days in advance.
That’s it, my kind of recipe.
This is the first of my Thanksgiving Favorite Recipes, next is Jane’s Sinfully Rich Pecan Pie.
Enjoy!
Cranberries are a must at Thanksgiving….will have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure Kim, this is a really good recipe!
