Pretty clothes, nice people and good food on a Friday night, of course it was fun!
I love fashion, but more importantly, I went to this fashion show because of the good I think this event does for our community.
Fashion Stars for a Cause brings money to programs like Teens Can Survive and Survivors of Suicide , both help people in crisis find hope. They are part of the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas.
In a society where depression, bullying (both at school and online), and disconnected families have become all too common, the Suicide & Crisis Center offers hope and solutions.
Chair Yvonne Crum says “….I want to get the message out and…I think you’ve got to give (guests) something that’s encouraging and fun…” And Yvonne put on a great event.
Darren McGrady, the Royal Chef, personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales and Princes William and Harry for fifteen years, donated a Royal Raffle Dinner Party package and Belk gave a $5,000 gift card.
I thought if I told you about this event you might want to help too. For more information on how you can participate in future events or contribute to the efforts of the Suicide & Crisis Center of North Texas, visit:
