This is one of my favorite spots in all of North Texas for brunch…
So I can’t think of a better place to recommend for Easter Sunday.
I have enjoyed several wonderful meals at Smoke, in fact, I’ve never been disappointed in the food.
Chef Tim Byers wrote the cookbook Smoke, which won a James Beard Award, and it’s filled with fabulous “smoked” and “cured” meats and accompaniments.
But brunch at Smoke isn’t BarBQ, unless that’s what you want.
Here’s the full Smoke Brunch Menu. There are of course farm eggs and buttery handmade biscuits. My favorites are the “Pulled Whole Hog BBQ Eggs Benedict with Goat Cheese Potato Pancakes”…and the “Smoked Brisket Cornbread Hash”
Or maybe the “Blueberry & House Made Ricotta Cheese Pancakes”…
One of the perks of Smoke is it’s beautiful location. The restaurant is in the historic Belmont Hotel, just across the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge from downtown Dallas. It has a spectacular view of the city and it’s fun to tour the neighborhood while you’re there. Some spectacular homes are being built.
I called and got a reservation just a couple of days ago so I know there are a few left.
Maybe I’ll see you there, but if not, Happy Easter!
