I just got these back and I’m so excited, I wanted to show you…
Freshly lacquered white, I’m going to put a piece of glass on these and make a desk for my guest bedroom.
If you want to see why I’m so excited, look at this…a picture of these same pieces when my designer Ken Blasingame spotted them at Antiques Moderne in Dallas. Ken definitely has creative vision! They will sit under a contemporary piece I found by Dallas artist Pamela Nelson.
One of Pamela’s large pieces is in the entry hall of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
For years, I have collected antiques like this 18th century Spanish chest with the fabulous carving and patina, that will sit in the same guest bedroom…
but I’m so excited about the fresh glamorous look this desk will add. Just look at how fun these are in the late afternoon light…Rooms are like wardrobes; great basics last a lifetime and the right updates make everything feel new again!
