Jane McGarry is an award-winning TV news anchor, reporter and television personality. Jane co-hosts the popular morning lifestyle show “Good Morning Texas” for Dallas Ft Worth based WFAA-TV.
During her more than three decades in television, Jane has interviewed celebrities and national leaders including President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, entrepreneur and “Shark Tank” host Mark Cuban, as well as music legends including Ice Cube and Willie Nelson.
Jane is the recipient of the National Gracie Award for “Best Local News Anchor in the Country”, a prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for broadcast journalism, as well as the Lone Star Emmy Award for “Best Newscast in Texas”. Jane has been named “most popular news anchor in the Metroplex” numerous times by local media. In addition to her work in television, Jane is founder of Jane McGarry Media, a national media training & on camera coaching company.
Jane is an active volunteer for victims of domestic violence and breast cancer survivors and serves on the board of the AiRS Foundation, dedicated to providing women access to reconstructive breast surgery.
Jane has one son, Michael, and enjoys travel, cooking, home decorating, gardening, golf, tennis, skiing and is an avid reader in her spare time.
