I hope I help inspire women of all ages to feel their best about themselves…
I think most of staying “young” is in your head. For me it’s about being open to new and different experiences, remaining curious about life, and that includes fashion.
It doesn’t have to be expensive fashion, but I’ve seen women who are 70 and look on top of the world because their look is “current”. I think it reflects their interest in what’s going on around them, and that is exciting and fun.I picked this dress because the full skirt is up to date and fresh. It’s a nice change from all those “body hugging” long dresses. Plus, it’s much easier to dance in than a dress that touches the floor. That’s modern!
Off the shoulder is different for me, but that’s why I bought the dress. It’s a little sexy but not too revealing and it turned out to be the perfect “safari” look for the zoo, even if I didn’t plan it.
I picked this picture because my friend D’Andra Simmons is always showing up in the best looks. She usually wears dresses and this Rachel Zoe 70s inspired pantsuit is a competely different style for her. Her passion for life shows in her wardrobe and in her charity work. She was on “Good Morning Texas” to talk about the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show that she is chairing this spring.
Finally, everyone has their own style, but I’m not comfortable showing a lot of cleavage so I chose a style I’m seeing with this cutout front. I think it’s a little sexy, modern and fun. By the way, that side slit is a big trend for winter and next spring.
For me, being open to new and different things (shaking it up a little!) is what being young is all about, and that includes fashion!

Jane you are the perfect image to being “young at heart”! Each person that you meet is different but special and unique, some of us choose to be “young at heart” as somewhere along our pathways in life we lost or perhaps forgot something that made us feel young at heart. As we age we tend to forget that it is the inner self confidence within your heart that determines the spirit within you of being “young at heart”! It is like “Swapping the Old for the New! How little do we know the effects of time, How little it matters when it is in God’s protective Hands.” None of us want to feel like an ole scarecrow! Thank you for showing the way!
