I learned two secrets to making the perfect Italian tomato sauce…

from Hotel de Russie celebrity chef and Director of Food Fulvio Pierangelini.

Chef Pierangelini has 25 years of experience cooking delicious Italian food and says the simpler the food the better.

He explained to me that the two most important ingredients are the tomatoes and the olive oil.  Tomatoes should always be torn by hand into pieces and the olive oil has to be Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You can watch Pierangelini making a delicious tomato sauce below.
